CONTEST RULES
The decision of the judges is final. Judges may decide not to award any prize or prizes at their sole discretion. All entries become the exclusive property of the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade Association, Inc., which shall have all rights thereto. By signing the consent form, the parent/guardian agrees to all the terms and conditions of the contest and allows the entrant’s name and/or likeness to be publicized. See the application for the required consent form.
ART
Open to all students in kindergarten through eighth grades.
All artwork must be on standard oak tag, sized 22” x 28”.
All artwork must be created by the student and must be original.
ESSAY/POETRY
Open to all students in fourth through eighth grades.
All entries must be typed or printed and contain no more than 250 words.
All material created by the student must be original.
PRIZES
Grand Prize winners in Art and Essay/Poetry Categories receive:
A $250 prize, an engraved plaque
First Prize for Art and Essay/Poetry is an engraved medallion and an Amazon gift card.
Second and Third Prize for Art and Essay/Poetry is an Amazon gift card.
